What is The Grass Tea TM?
The Grass Tea™ system is designed to recycle carbon dioxide (CO₂), reduce atmospheric carbon levels, and generate a natural liquid fertilizer through the controlled decomposition of grass clippings.
By recycling grass clippings from your lawn, the Grass Tea™ captures carbon dioxide (CO₂) and nitrogen in the form of ammonia (NH₃). When grass clippings are placed in a sealed container, they begin to decompose, releasing CO₂ and ammonia as part of the natural process. During decomposition, moisture from the grass is converted into a nutrient-rich liquid. When mixed with water, this liquid can be used to support plant growth as a natural fertilizer.
This process enhances plant health, reduces organic waste, and supports the natural carbon cycle—turning everyday yard waste into a climate-friendly resource.

THE GROWING CYCLE
- Add fresh grass clippings to the bin.
- Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely.
🕒 Allow at least 2 days for decomposition to begin.
- After 1 week, nutrient-rich liquid (“Grass Tea”) will form.
- Use the spigot at the bottom to collect the liquid.
- Dilute with water and use as a liquid fertilizer for plants or lawn.
- Most decomposition happens in the first 2 weeks.
- The bin can remain loaded for up to 6 weeks.
